Spent a couple nights shooting a video for Vinny DePonto, a really great magician based out of Brooklyn. really happy with the final product, probably one of my favorite videos yet.

I finally had the pleasure of meeting Hopeton Gordon this afternoon, a familiar face in the archival footage from the first take of The Black List. Thank you to Hopeton for taking the time to sit down with us and also a big thanks to Jonathan Weiskopf for his help and knock knock jokes. Big weekend coming up, headed to Albany, Binghamton, Oneonta - oh my!
went and filmed the occupy wall street protests yesterday. still have my doubts on what it can achieve but it’s a movement for sure and it’s gonna stay. here’s a little video I put together of the happenings…

2008 white plains poetry slam team.
my heart sunk before I even opened up the e-mail this morning that informed me of the passing of Dan DeRosa, my amazingly talented teammate. it was hard enough already to lose Anne Marie but now to say goodbye to Dan - I’m devastated. anyone who has competed in slam poetry knows how close a team can get after spending months together practicing, creating and performing together. Poetry aside, Dan was one of the most caring human beings I’ve had the honor of meeting and it showed through his work and he had just began his path to earning his PhD at Florida’s Institute of Technology. Mr. DeRosa, you shall be missed buddy.

I might not care for city life, but this is one the most beautiful time lapse projects on the web. Shot over the span of a month, it perfectly showcases new york city as both chaotic and serene. Time lapse photography is an exhausting art form and is executed so well in nature, which is why I applaud this video being done in an urban setting - specifically the sequences on street level where he somehow set-up a heavy/giant mechanical, aluminum rail without anyone bumping into it!
